Amazing day trip!
The high-speed train made this day trip effortless! Longmen Grottoes are breathtaking—the scale and detail of the Buddha statues are incredible. The Longmen Grottoes are even more impressive than Yungang Grottoes! The Vairocana Buddha is magnificent. Shaolin Temple was a highlight—watching the monks perform Kung Fu was unforgettable. Packed but worthwhile
This is a very full day—we were exhausted by the end! But seeing two UNESCO sites without changing hotels was brilliant. Longmen Grottoes are stunning, and the Shaolin Kung Fu show was incredible. The Water Banquet was interesting. Just be prepared for a lot of walking. Recommended if you're fit and love history!
